2017 Sonoma County Point In Time Homeless Count
The annual Sonoma County Point in Time Homeless Count will take place from 6:00-10:00 AM on Friday, January 27, 2017. The Point in Time Count is necessary in supporting providers of homeless services in Sonoma County who seek grant funding from state and federal agencies and can also be used to adjust service needs if appopriate. The count is mandated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

As in past years, we will need approximately 75-90 volunteers during this time, to canvass one or more census tracts in a team with recently homeless persons recommended to work due to their knowledge of encampments and other locations where unsheltered people can be found. Volunteers with automobiles, flashlights and cell phones are especially in high demand. Volunteer participation is critical to the success of this countywide effort!

The January 27th Homeless Count will deploy from 5 locations around Sonoma County. Maps and directions are are forthcoming.
